Anonymous meetings are open to anyone who wants to attend, whether they are struggling themselves or not. Friends, family members, and even professionals interested in learning more about Anonymous Meetings are welcome.
Closed meetings are only for individuals who have a desire to better themselves in their journey. They provide a safe and confidential space for members to share their experiences and support each other without fear of judgment.
In speaker meetings, one member shares their personal stories. This format allows attendees to learn from the speaker’s experiences and gain inspiration and hope for their own path.
Step meetings focus on the Twelve Steps of Anonymous Meetings, which are guiding principles for meeting attendees. Each meeting typically focuses on one of the steps, with members sharing their thoughts, struggles, and progress related to that particular step.
“Anonymous Meetings are a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for your membership; we are self supporting through our own contributions. Anonymous Meetings are not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to help others and help ourselves.”
